You May consume a small sip of water for morning Rx’s
DO NOT SKIP NORMAL Rx’s
Take all Rx medications as you normally would unless you are specifically instructed otherwise
Drink plenty of fluids the evening before surgery to ensure that you are well hydrated.
No contact lenses for your safety.
Remove any piercings INSIDE of the mouth (tongue/lip) for your safety.
Wear loose/comfortable clothing with short sleeves. (to facilitate easy access to place your IV)
Wear closed toed, comfortable shoes (no flip flops/heels/etc.)
No acrylic nails or nail polish (on index fingers) as it interferes with pulse oximetry readings.
You must have a responsible adult (at least 18 years of age) accompany you to the appointment, stay in the office during the procedure, and drive you home.
THE ADULT MUST REMAIN IN THE OFFICE DURING THE ENTIRE APPOINTMENT TIME.
NO CELL PHONE USE IN THE RECOVERY AREAS. NO PHONE CALLS, PHOTOS, AND/OR VIDEOS. This is due to HIPAA confidentiality regulations!
Surgeries with Local Anesthesia Only
Have a light meal a few hours prior to surgery.
Take all Rx medications as you normally would unless you are specifically instructed otherwise
For more extensive procedures you may wish to have someone drive you home.
